Fashion Week is almost coming to an end and we’ve survived it once again. This time under much more beautiful weather. And for that, we’re hip-hop hooraying. For this Fashion Week we were click-clacking our heels around Manhattan, from one side of the city to the other (miss you Lincoln Center) attempting to stay hydrated as we ran from show to show, keeping our make up from melting and smiling. Always smiling. Fashion Week was ever present and exciting for me this year because as you know, I just got back from an amazing vacation where fashion was hitting me at every turn on the streets of London and Florence. And after a few Fashion Weeks under my belt, here’s what I’ve learned and will continue to do to stay inspired during this grueling, yet exhilarating week. My five musts:
Planning My Outfits: I’m more of a on the go kind of gal, but for this week, planning ahead of time is key! Dry cleaning run- check. Plus it was really fun to wear some of my new vacay finds this week.
Stay Hydrated! This on repeat. I always carry a bottle of water to keep myself hydrated. My smartwater is always in my bag and I’ve seen it all over NYFW, which is always a relief if I’m running low. I promise it will make a huge difference as you schlep from one side of the city to the other.
Throw in a Few Protein Bars in Your bag: Sadly, eating meals on time takes a back seat this week. Make sure you have a few bars in your bag to keep you from becoming a crank ball.
A Change of Shoes: A pair of flats will save your life and your feet will be so ever grateful to get a break in between. Please make sure you always have a pair of flat, comfy shoes.
Enjoy the Ride: Sometimes I get so caught up in the frenzy of it all and don’t take the time to truly appreciate how lucky I am to do what I love and marvel in a week where all that matters is fashion and running into fellow blogger babes I never get to see. Just have FUN!
